MEET THE W.O.W. MINISTRY TEAM

Sheila Smith is our Women's Coordinator. Her desire is to serve the women of our congregation through prayer, discipleship, mentoring, and fellowship. God has called her to a specific area within the women's ministry-MOMS! She strives to equip them to train their children in a Christ like way that their home might be managed in a manner worthy of the calling He gave.

W.O.W. is co-chaired by Katharine Ray. Katharine is a home missionary. She and her husband Monty run 40 West Ministries on a full-time basis. As Katharine has received her counseling degree from SEBTS, she has prayed to create "Heart 2 Heart", a mentoring program for the women of our church body. Her passion is to see that each woman developes friendships and accountability partners. She helps coordinate opportunites so these mentorships can begin to mature. The hope is that we will see their bonds with each other and in the Lord become emotionally and spiritually strong.

Lisa Harris is our Events and Outreach Coordinator. Lisa's main goal is to bring the Women of Wakefield together in joyful settings as well as promote meaningful events to provide times of mission minded gatherings to reach women in our area. She longs to encouraging women to open their homes in order to prepare for ongoing ministries within their neighborhoods.

Meredith Cook is our Administrator. She is responsible for the minutes of each meeting and any secretarial duties W.O.W. may need. She sees to it that all announcements regarding the activities for this ministry are available to the women of the church through bulletins, newsletters and other existing mediums. Meredith also faithfully assist Sheila with coordinating the Mom's Together group.

Julie Summers is our Treasurer. God has given her a gift of money management. W.O.W. depends on Julie for funds accountability and allocation. She also oversees collection of payments during paid events, such as the annual women's retreats.
